Antes de empezar a disertar sobre la música que contiene este disco, me gustaría aclarar dos conceptos. Me perdonaréis, pero es total y absolutamente indispensable que lo haga. Si hablamos en clave Death Metal: 1/ 'Left Hand Path' es el Santo Grial. 2/ Nicke Andersson es Jesucristo. Amén. Bien. Empezaré de la peor manera posible. O sea, con una pregunta. ¿'Left Hand Path' o el mejor disco de la historia del Death Metal? Por pragmatismo, la primera porque es la forma más corta de decirlo, pero en cualquier caso, nos hallamos ante el disco que para bien o para mal cambio por completo las reglas del juego (Cómo la peli de Renoir!). Después de que aquel junio del '90, Earache soltara la bomba, ya nada volvió a ser igual. Desconozco si alguno de vosotros conoce algún trabajo de alguna banda que supusiera lo mismo en su género (Cream, Zeppelin, Black Sabbath, Bathory, realmente no sé...) pero lo que está claro es que la cara del Death Metal mutó fatalmente después de que 'Left Hand Path' saliera a la arena del circo y se zampara a los gladiadores, a los leones, al público y hasta al vendedor de palomitas. P.D-este comentario lo he copiado de un foro ,el cual no voy a decir por razones obvias ,pero expresa lo que yo pienso de este monumento al death ,que es este disco ,algo tan simple y complicado a la vez como un punto de inflexion en la historia del metal mas radical .
