On the 70th anniversary of the birth of Bruce Lee, the film world pays tribute to the legendary martial arts superstar with a biographical film based on the memoir of his younger brother Robert Lee. Unlike most other biopics about him, Bruce Lee, My Brother takes viewers back to his formative years. Robert Lee himself produced and participated in the creation of the script, which endeavors to make known the true stories of his world-famous sibling when they grew up together in Hong Kong. Produced by Manfred Wong (The Storm Riders) who also co-directed with Raymond Yip (Anna in Kungfu-Land), the action drama found its title character in Aarif Lee, who won the Hong Kong Film Awards Best New Performer trophy with his scene-stealing debut in the hit period drama Echoes of the Rainbow. Aarif's casting is deemed pitch-perfect not only for his physical resemblance to the martial arts icon but also his similar temperament and self-confidence. Besides, he specifically underwent training in kung fu and dancing in preparation for the role of a lifetime. Surrounding the promising young star is a superb cast that includes Tony Leung Ka Fai, Christy Chung, and Jennifer Tse (Nicholas Tse's sister) in her film debut, as well as a number of star cameos. Bruce Lee, My Brother provides a rounded portrayal of the man behind the myth with detailed and authentic tales from his childhood and adolescence, complete with lots of interesting anecdotes never revealed before. Born in San Francisco on November 27, 1940, Bruce Lee was still a baby when his father, Cantonese opera artist Lee Hoi Chuen (Tony Leung) brought his wife Grace Ho (Christy Chung) and the children back to Hong Kong to stay close to his mother (Lee Heung Kam) and sister (Michelle Ye) on the eve of the outbreak of WWII. Bruce the little brat starred in his first film, Fung Fung's (Cheung Tat Ming) The Kid at the tender age of nine, and his cinematic connection later led him to his first taste of romance with Man Yee (Jennifer Tse) and Man Lan (Gong Mi), daughters of movie stars Tso Tat Wah (Eddie Cheung) and Leung Sing Por, respectively. The Host (괴물, Gwoemul) es una película de Terror Coreano de 2006. El filme, con elementos de terror, comedia y drama, fue dirigido por Bong Joon-ho, que también fue coguionista Baek Chul-hyun. La película está protagonizada por los miembros de una familia a los que dan vida Song Kang-ho, Byeon Hee-bong, Park Hae-il, Bae Doona y Ko Ah-seong. Unos científicos vierten un centenar de botellas de formaldehído en el río Han de Seúl. Poco después, un par de pescadores encuentran en el agua una pequeña criatura, a la que dejan suelta tras ser mordido uno de ellos. Años más tarde, los habitantes de la capital de Corea del Sur observan sorprendidos un extraño elemento que cuelga del puente Wonhyo. En realidad es un monstruo mutante que emerge del río Han y aterroriza a los habitantes de la ciudad que pasan el día en sus tranquilas y soleadas orillas. Entre las personas involucradas en el ataque se encuentra Gang-du y su hija, Hyun-seo, que es atrapada por la bestia. Nam-il consigue la ayuda de un compañero de universidad para localizar la procedencia de la llamada telefónica de su sobrina, pero es traicionado, aunque logra escapar y enviar la información a su hermana. Gang-du, atrapado en un hospital, descubre que el virus no existe. Después que los científicos toman una muestra de su tejido cerebral, él coge a una enfermera como rehén y escapa. Mientras Hyun-seo sobrevive oculta en un tubo en la guarida de la criatura, que deja los cuerpos de sus víctimas para devorarlos más tarde. Entre los cuerpos encuentra a un niño huérfano. Ella planea utilizar la ropa de las víctimas para escapar, pero sus planes fallan y son engullidos por la criatura.
