Tan sólo ocho meses después de finalizar la gira de "Aproximaciones", los madrileños Pereza regresan con su sexto álbum de estudio, "Aviones", un disco con el que la banda ha logrado "un sonido propio y reconocible", según explica a Efe Leiva, uno de los componentes del grupo. "Aviones", que sale esta semana a la venta, está compuesto por diecisiete canciones "de corazón acústico", comenta Rubén Pozo, el otro miembro del dúo, e incluye un DVD con un concierto que recoge algunas de las canciones más representativas del nuevo trabajo. "Era una manera de explicar con un hecho que una canción bien construida se aguanta con una o dos guitarras y una voz" -asegura Rubén- "y en eso se basan las canciones de este disco, en que tienen una estructura suficiente para aguantarse por sí solas". "Son letras con pasión -apostilla Leiva-, la pasión y la inestabilidad proporcionan canciones". El nuevo álbum de Pereza confirma una evolución hacia otros estilos como el folk y el country sin renunciar al rock, aunque desde un punto de vista más introspectivo y pausado. "Es el disco con el que más felices estamos", afirma Leiva. El álbum fue grabado en el salón de la casa de campo de Leiva. "Hemos roto con todos los protocolos de grabación; lo pusimos todo patas arriba", cuenta el músico madrileño. Y Rubén sentencia: "Grabar es como el comer, como en casa en ninguna parte". El grupo ha contado con instrumentos nuevos y algunos que ya habían utilizado esporádicamente como el banjo, la mandolina o el melotrón. "Con el banjo y la mandolina descubrimos un sonido muy enriquecedor y que se ha llevado el disco para un sitio distinto al que pensamos en un principio. Han sido dos instrumentos clave en la grabación", indica Leiva. En cuanto al título, Rubén cree que se trata de un concepto salido del tiempo que pasan viajando en avión de un sitio a otro, además de ser relativo al barrio madrileño de Alameda de Osuna, de donde tanto él como Leiva son originarios, y que se encuentra cerca de las instalaciones del aeropuerto de Barajas. "Además -aclara Rubén- es un poco una metáfora de canciones. Aviones, canciones, cosas que vuelan y van por el aire". Por otra parte, el álbum cuenta con la participación de Andrés Calamaro en la canción "Amelie" y de Ariel Roth en "Llévame al baile". Este nuevo trabajo, que se ha ido gestando durante la gira de su anterior disco, "Aproximaciones", sale a la venta apenas dos meses después del lanzamiento de "Baires", un libro CD-DVD con cinco temas inéditos que recogía las experiencias de la gira que el grupo realizó por Argentina, un país "muy especial" para Pereza. Leiva considera que en Argentina no existen tantos prejuicios respecto a la música como en España. "Allí hay gustos musicales que comparte todo el mundo y eso es bueno para la música. En España no hay nadie que le guste a todos", declara. Leiva considera que en España "se está perdiendo un poco el amor a la música dándole prioridad a lo moderno; hay unos filtros que no deberían estar." Y añade que aquí "se quiere ser Londres, pero no se es Londres". El grupo, que presentó "Aviones" ante su público el pasado lunes en un centro comercial de la Plaza de Callao en Madrid, se muestra muy satisfecho con la acogida de los fans. "Pereza ya tiene un público que está ahí y mola tener gente esperando por tu disco", dice Leiva, que recomienda ante la primera escucha: "hay que tener paciencia para entrar en él". Lewis was born in Los Angeles, California to Geoffrey Lewis, an actor, and Glenis Duggan Batley, a graphic designer. She has four siblings – brothers Lightfield and Peter, and sisters Dierdre and Brandy. Juliette Lewis wanted to act since she was six years old, and has appeared in over forty films and made-for-TV movies. She appeared in "The Wonder Years" as Wayne's girlfriend in Episodes 24, 34 and 36. Lewis first garnered international attention and acclaim in 1991 with her turn as Danielle Bowden in Martin Scorsese's remake of Cape Fear, for which she was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1992. Over the next few years, she won further critical support in Peter Medak's Romeo Is Bleeding, and as opposite Brad Pitt in Kalifornia. In 1993 she acted alongside Leonardo Dicaprio and Johnny Depp in the drama film What's Eating Gilbert Grape. She played Mallory Knox in Oliver Stone's Natural Born Killers.[2] She played a rock singer in the film Strange Days, doing her own singing on covers of two songs written by PJ Harvey, giving fans an early look at her musical prowess. She received an Emmy nomination for her performance in Hysterical Blindness in 2003. She also appeared in the HIM music video for "Buried Alive By Love" in 2003. Lewis appeared in Rockstar Games' Grand Theft Auto IV, providing the voice of "Juliette", the host of fictional radio station "Radio Broker".
