Alan Parsons (7 Cds.) lossless remastered

Durante el 2007, el propio Alan Parsons remasterizo gran parte de su discografia. Se incluyen los scans. Ademas del excelente sonido, cada album incluye fotos de archivo poco conocidas y bonus track :paco:

The Alan Parsons Project - I Robot (Remastered & Expanded) (2007) -lossless

EAC Rip, No log | FLAC, IMG+CUE | Full Artwork | 392 MB

By the time the Alan Parsons Project signed on with Arista Records for their second album I Robot, they would begin a decade long run of hit singles and platinum albums. The remastering job done on I Robot is absolutely flawless and should go a long way toward reigniting a new generation of audiophiles with the dazzling sort of ear candy contained within. The sounds heard on this re-release literally leap out of the speakers at you. The synthesizers and strings swirl about your head every bit as much as you remember on the original vinyl LP, but with the added bonus of crystal clean digital technology. Speaking of clean, the drums here are so crisp they almost crackle.

The Alan Parsons Project - Turn Of A Friendly Card (Remastered & Expanded) (2008) -lossless-

FLAC, IMG+CUE, No log | Full Artwork | 402 MB

The Alan Parsons Project: Alan Parsons (vocals, keyboards), Elmer Gantry, Lenny Zakatek, Chris Rainbow (vocals), Eric Woolfson (vocals, keyboards), Ian Bairnson (guitars), David Paton (bass), Stuart Elliot (drums, percussion).

Orchestra of the Munich Chamber Opera Care of Eberhardt Schoener arranged and conducted by Andrew Powell.

All songs written by Eric Woolfson and Alan Parsons.

With TURN OF A FRIENDLY CARD, Alan Parsons has furthered his bid for mainstream success by combining his lush, synthesized art rock with memorable melodies. In fact, two of the album's songs--the infectious, pulsing "Games People Play" and the dreamily drifting "Time"-- became durable radio singles. Like all of Parsons's efforts, however, this album is far more than just a collection of singles.

TURN OF A FRIENDLY CARD continues Parsons's penchant for concept albums: every song centers on gambling and its literal and metaphorical implications. While this is intriguing, the album's more seductive qualities lie in its densely layered arrangements and pristine production, which create a spacey, expansive, highly detailed effect that nearly cries out to be played on a high-end stereo. While a well-assembled compilation like the double-disc DEFINITIVE COLLECTION is a better place to get acquainted with the scope of Parsons's solo work, this effort from 1980 is one of his best.

Alan Parsons: Gaudi (Remastered & Expanded) (2008) -lossless-

progressive rock | EAC Rip, log | FLAC, separate files | Full Artwork | 383 MB

Between the late 70s and late 80s, the Alan Parsons Project produced music which was high on sound quality and production but did not pander to the fashionable whims of the period. Several musical movements came and went during this period, including punk/new wave, new romantics, electro pop and "big hair" anthem rock, yet APP continued to plough on regardless, occasionally producing well-crafted pop songs but always producing music which soared towards classical standards of audio quality, with themes which included the turn of fortune, the enigma of ancient Egypt, the dystopian future of I Robot, and in this case, the unfinished (and possibly unfinishable?) masterpiece of Gaudi's Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. In each case, intricate instrumentation is augmented with powerful, emotional vocals including such greats as Colin Blunstone and other exceptional guest musicians, several of whom appear on "Gaudi". I strongly urge listeners to purchase this album, and other APP masterpieces such as "The Turn of a Friendly Card" and "Eye in the Sky", particularly the remastered and expanded versions, as they represent a musical genre which is no longer with us- epic, aural sculptures which sound as great today as when they were first released. After all, the man who engineered Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon must know a thing or two about production and sound quality- give it a try and you'll see what I mean!

track list

1. La Sagrada Familia (8:47)

2. Too Late (4:30)

3. Closer To Heaven (5:53)

4. Standing On Higher Ground (5:48)

5. Money Talks (4:26)

6. Inside Looking Out (6:26)

7. Paseo de Gracia (3:47)

8. Too Late (Eric Woolfson’s rough guide vocal) (4:13)

9. Standing On Higher Ground / Losing Proposition (vocal experiments) (3:58)

10. Money Talks (Chris Rainbow / percussion overdubs) (0:37)

11. Money Talks (rough mix backing track) (4:28)

12. Closer to Heaven (Chris Rainbow / sax overdub section) (0:50)

13. Paseo de Gracia (rough mix) (3:46)
