En una de las playas casi se produjo la catástrofe y a los aliados les hubiera supuesto la derrota final. En la playa de Omaha, las fuerzas estadounidenses se enfrentaron a un fuego enemigo intensísimo, más que en ningún otro lugar, y sufrieron 2.000 bajas. Sin embargo, en comparación, el desembarco en la vecina playa de Utah fue casi un paseo. ¿Por qué? Durante más de 60 años, los expertos han tratado de averiguarlo y ahora parece que, por fin, se disipa la niebla.
