Luego de la separacion de YES tras el espectacular disco Relayer, en 1974, para dar forma a sus proyectos individuales en paralelo,
lease Olias of Sunhillow (Anderson), Fish out of Water (Squire), Beginings (Steve Howe), Story of I (Moraz), en donde ademas se corria el rumor que el grupo se habia separado para siempre, Yes se reune de nuevo esta ves con el regreso en los teclados del señor Rick Wakeman ("The Myhts...), editando en 1977 lo que seria su album, "Going For The One".

Lo que se entrega a continuacion es el disco en su mejor calidad posible.

Es la cancion que le da nombre al album y la ideal para iniciar este, con mucha fuerza y vitalidad, y como si el grupo jamas hubiese estado separado.
Going for the one es una cancion que revitaliza tambien al que la escucha y que sin la majestuosidad de otroras canciones de YES, nos muestra al grupo, con mucha potencia y rock and roll.

Y si hablamos de majestuosidad, esta llega con esta cancion que se inicia lenta, pero luego nos hace ensoñar con paisajes y tiempos idilicos, es casi todo lo contrario a Going for the one.

Si existe una cancion bella en este album, esta es Wonderous Stories, y es quiza tambien la cancion en donde mas destacan howe, con su elegancia y exactitud, el bajo omnipresente de Squire y los teclados magnanimos de Rick Wakeman, habra que decir algo de Anderson?, sencillamente que su voz en esta cancion es inigualable

Esta es quiza la cancion que mas nos recuerda a los albunes Tales..., o Relayer, por su duracion, su misticismo, las sensaciones que da al oirla, y su desarrollo.

Going for the one esta historicamente ubicado como un album que quiza no tiene la altura de un Close to the Edge, Relayer, Fragile o quizas un Tales...
pero que para esa epoca 1977, en donde la mayoria de los grupos de rock progresivo mostraban una decandecia notoria ademas del movimiento mismo. nos hace creer ilusamente que vendran tiempo mejores.
