Esta comedia relata la historia de Marc Pease, un hombre adulto que la vida indirectamente a traves de los recuerdos de la gloria de la juventud. Diez anos de la escuela secundaria, el es un hombre que aún viven en el pasado, cuando actuo en musicales de su escuela secundaria. En el transcurso de un dia, los acontecimientos vienen a la cabeza. Mientras mira desde la orilla como su antiguo maestro y mentor el Sr. Gribble supervisa la noche de la inauguracion de otro programa, Pease tiene una epifania. A traves de un proceso catártico, divertido, finalmente se exorciza sus demonios y se da cuenta de que hay más vida que el rugido del maquillaje y el olor de la multitud que se Broadway. En el transcurso de la pelicula, una joven muchacha de la escuela secundaria superior se convierte en una relacion romántica con los dos hombres. Esto solo sirve para complicar las cosas.
