La película remonta los diversos estilos del punky de sus raíces en el garage 60s y las vendas psychedelic (cuenta cinco, los Stooges) con el glam-punky (muñecas de Nueva York) a los años 70 Nueva York y a las escenas de Londres y en el presente del hardcore. Las entrevistas con muchos de los músicos se corrigen con los clips vivos y la cantidad histórica.
