Entre las principales influencias de este guitarrista destacan Yngwie Malmsteen, Tony MacAlpine, Jason Becker y Marty Friedman, añadiendoles siempre un toque más metalero y agresivo. Jeff Loomis acaba de lanzar un disco en solitario, titulado “Zero Order Phase“, en el cual muestra su espectacular técnica y dominio como guitarrista, sin dejar de lado la rítmica pesada y el sonido más metalero.
