Le tenía terror a las preesentaciones en público y a medida que estas se incrementaban crecía tambien su ansiedad. Llegó el momento en que cada tocata era una tortura para este excelente músico y no le quedo otro remedio que hacer mutis por el foro Una lástima pero a la vez una demostración de que en Genesis había talento de sobra ya que pudieron recuperarse de la ida de su lider y continuar con su carrera de creatividad sin límites. Estos son sus dos primeros discos en solitario y además de su carrera como solista hay que destacar sus colaboraciones en discos de Mike Rutherford y Camel entre otros.
