[JAZZ ROCK] MILES DAVIS AND QUINCY JONES @ 320

[RELAYER]

A pesar de que Doo-Bop (álbum con que ingresó en los territorios del acid jazz) fue su obra póstuma, la actuación grabada en el Festival de Jazz de Montreaux de 1991 como solista invitado en la orquesta del productor y arreglador Quincy Jones, es en efecto la última grabación en vida de Miles Davis. Curiosamente llevaba más de 30 años de sucesivas etapas de experimentación con la electricidad y totalmente desligado del jazz puro, y sin embargo fue convencido por Jones (un reconocido admirador y seguidor de Davis) para regresar a los colores del bop y el cool jazz. En esta ocasión, apenas dos meses antes de su muerte y con 65 años muy mal llevados, Miles revivió las viejas piezas grabadas a fines de los ’40 y mediados de los ‘50. Es un documento histórico que contiene las interpretaciones finales de “Boplicity”, “Blues For Pablo”, “My Ship” y “The Duke”.

aunq no es rock, obviamente en otro foro se pierde... sobretodo cuando uno lee eso de "raices negras" y que se relaciona mas con Bob Marley o algun rapero de estos q pululan en la tele q con el jazz en sus multiples expresiones...

 

cuente con mi apoyo compadre, mañana me lo bajo y lo agrego a mi extensa coleccion de davis, de la cual no tenog mucho material ochentero...
