The Bentley Hydraulics and Hydrology product team are pleased to announce the availability of WaterCAD CONNECT Edition Update 3 (build 10.03.01.08). This release introduce improvements to help you be more successful.

CONNECT Edition Update 3 release of WaterCAD (build 10.03.01.08) - Date: 21 May 2020

The WaterGEMS CONNECT Edition provides a unified, common environment that advances productivity, team collaboration, and project performance. Key new capabilities of the CONNECT

Edition releases include:

- AutoCAD 2021 Support
- MicroStation SELECTseries 10 Support
- Improvements to Change Tracking
- Enhancements to Spatial Operations (i.e. Cross Pipes Query)
- Improvements to GIS-ID based ModelBuilder importing
- Stability enhancements and fixes to reported issues

WaterCAD is an easy-to-use hydraulic and water quality modeling application for water distribution systems. Utilities, municipalities, and engineering firms trust WaterCAD as a reliable, resource-sav-ing, decision-support application for their water infrastructure. From fire flow and constituent concentration analyses, to energy cost management and pump modeling, WaterCAD helps engineers and utilities analyze, design, and optimize water distribution systems.WaterCAD takes advantage of Bentley CONNECT services by associating a hydraulic model with a CONNECT project.

The minimum system configuration for installation:

Operating System: Windows 7, SP1 (32bit/64bit), Windows 8, 8.1 (32bit/64bit), Windows 10 (32bit/64bit)
Software Prerequisites: Microsoft .NET Framework version 4.5.1 (Installer will attempt to download and install this prerequisite if it is not present during installation)
Platform Requirements: Bentley WaterCAD CONNECT does not require any additional CAD software to work as a standalone application. However WaterCAD CONNECT can run on the following platforms (if available):
- MicroStation V8i SELECTseries 4 - SELECTseries 10
- AutoCAD 2019, 2020, 2021 (32bit/64bit) *
* (WaterCAD CONNECT Edition for AutoCAD license required)

Minimum Profile

The minimum recommended workstation profile for running WaterCAD CONNECT is:

Processor: As per minimum operating system requirements.
RAM: As per minimum operating system requirements.
Hard Disk: The software itself requires approximately 1.8 Gigabytes (GB) of disk space for installation, and approximately 200 Megabytes (MB) of disk space for optional lesson and sample files. Additional space is also required for user model and data files.
Display: As per minimum operating system requirements.

When running WaterCAD CONNECTin the AutoCAD platforms, the minimum requirements are superseded by the minimum requirements listed for those platforms.
