oaxino
Altair ESAComp 2020.0 | 51.8 mb Altair announces most significant software update release in company history. Altair ESAComp 2020 - is a software for analysis and design of composites. All of Altair's software products have been updated with advancements in user experience and countless new features, including intuitive workflows that empower users to streamline product development, allowing customers to get to market faster. New Features Composite pressure vessel analysis for models exported from Cadfil Shell based composite pressure vessel (CPV) analysis in ESAComp is now also available for users of Cadfil www.cadfil.com filament winding process simulation software. Cadfil module shall be the type of Lite +. In addition, Cadfil FEA output license feature is required. Further CPV analysis possibilities are available by exporting from Cadfil to Altair OptiStruct, for which, in addition to shell export, a continuum-shell based approach for sector models is supported.Laminate export to OptiStruct In addition to existing PCOMP and PSHELL export, ESAComp now supports also ply based modeling using PCOMPP property, for which STACK and PLY cards are created, and zone-based modeling using PCOMPG card image.Material export to OptiStruct In addition to existing PSOLID (MAT9), ESAComp now supports PSOLID(MAT9ORT) using 9 engineering constants as opposed to the material property matrix. Enhancements Failure envelope for multiple criteria When multiple criteria are active for a ply type, each graph in the first ply failure envelope gets labeled with the full set of active failure criteria. This prevents misunderstanding of the envelop, especially for laminates with multiple ply types. Documentation and Demo Cases - One example case (EC_49 Composite Pressure Vessel) has been added in "ESAComp Example Cases.pdf" to reflect the added capability to import and analyze models exported from Cadfil filament winding software to ESAComp. - Panel analysis example was added to the Python scripting interface examples. It covers modification of a curved panel and its stiffeners as well as analysis of load response, failure, buckling and natural frequencies. Other - The so-called Design Tools (Laminate Evaluation and Laminate Creation) have been removed since the approach has become outdated and the tools were not fully functional. For design/trade-off studies, "hands-on approach" with the existing multiple analysis capabilities is recommended. Python scripting can be used for screening larger design spaces. Resolved Issues - Resolved issue with transforming out of plane shear stresses from laminate coordinate system to ply coordinate system. - Python scripting will now report warning to batch log file when attempting load a non-existing XML file. - Unit of imperfection amplitude in non-linear cylindrical shell analysis was not correctly converted when changing unit system. - Resolved ESAComp freezing with beam stiffened panels, when stiffener material did not have allowables defined. - Resolved some settings not being saved and correspondingly used in PCOMP export to OptiStruct. - Resolved meshing issues for cylindrical shells with more stiffeners in circumference than number of elements in mesh settings. - Numerous smaller bugs were fixed. Altair ESAComp is a software for analysis and design of composites. Its scope ranges from conceptual and preliminary design of layered composite structures to advanced analyses that are applicable for the final verification of a design. ESAComp has a vast set of analysis capabilities for solid/sandwich laminates and for micromechanical analyses. It further includes analysis tools for structural elements: flat and curved panels, stiffened panels, beams and columns, cylinders, bonded and mechanical joints. ESAComp is a stand-alone software tool, but thanks to its ability to interface with widely used finite element software packages ESAComp fits seamlessly into design processes. Find out how Altair ESAComp enhances the capabilities of the Altair HyperWorks platform by providing classical analyses of structures made of layered composites. Altair ESAComp is used from preliminary and detailed design phases to advanced analyses for the final design verification. Thanks to its ability to interface with widely-used finite element software packages, Altair ESAComp fits seamlessly into design processes. Altair is a global technology company that provides software and cloud solutions in the areas of product development, high performance computing (HPC) and data analytics. Altair enables organizations across broad industry segments to compete more effectively in a connected world while creating a more sustainable future.Product: Altair ESACompVersion: 2020.0.0.22Supported Architectures: x86Website Home Page : http://www.altair.com]www.altair.comLanguage: englishSystem Requirements: PC *Size: 51.8 mbOperating system Tested on Windows 10.
