The British collective The Heliocentrics brings together two great artists and major players in the African-American culture for the Jazz festival at La Villette: Archie Shepp and Melvin Van Peebles. The first is a must saxophonist Great Black Music, the second a filmmaker and pioneer illustrates the Blaxploitation, this American film current to give lead roles to African-American actors (an interview on Tracks is to see here).

Guided by the spiritual power of the charismatic Sun Ra, The smuggler Heliocentrics continue their mission between genres and generations. Alongside the icon of the Ethio-jazz Mulatu Astatke for years, it was in 2014 for The Last Broadcast, a nebulous opus composed of 12 chapters hypnotics, they board with Mevin Van Peebles.
