Sinopsis En su primer viaje a Philadelphia, Samuel Lap, un nino de una comunidad "amish", presencia por casualidad el brutal asesinato de un hombre. John Book (Harrison Ford) sera el policia encargado de protegerles, a el y a su madre, de quienes quieren eliminar al nino sea como sea. Cuando Book se entera de que el asesinato esta relacionado con una trama de corrupcion en el seno de la policia, decide refugiarse en el poblado amish.
