Musician BB King considered the "king of the blues" and one of the best guitarists of all time, died on Thursday in Las Vegas at age 89, according to his lawyer.
The guitarist was hospitalized in April after suffering dehydration due to type 2 diabetes who suffered for more than 20 years, and was again hospitalized a few days ago.
Riley B. King, considered one of the best guitarists of all time, won fifteen Grammy Awards, more than any other blues musician, with his inseparable Gibson nicknamed "Lucille". The musician, who entered the Hall of Fame Rock and Roll in 1987, began his musical career in the 1940s and has since published more than 50 albums.
He born in 1925 in a cotton plantation near Itta Benna (Misissipi), where he worked on a farm during the first years of his life while going a few hours to take classes in a small local school.
Among his best-known songs include "Three O'Clock Blues", "The Thrill Is Gone" and "When Love Comes to Town", a collaboration with Irish U2.
In October last year, King fell ill during one of his concerts in Chicago also due to symptoms of dehydration and exhaustion, so I was forced to cancel the rest of the tour.
