ACL executive producer Terry Lickona notes that when King first appeared on the agenda of this year, "it was rare for a blues artist will command a full hour on national television." Although it was not air until 1983, the performance took place in 1982, year in which the King recorded his album Love Me Tender. That album included his version of the title track, a hit for Elvis Presley and Willie Nelson-written "Night Life", combining as a medley with "Please Send Me Someone to Love".Download
