The largest blues festival in Poland, one of the most recognized in Europe and a large door blues festival in the world.
The idea of Rawa Blues Festival was introduced in 1981 by Irek Dudek - great blues musician and promoter. The first festival was held at the Theatre of Katowice and gathered a dozen blues bands in Poland. In the early 90s the Festival moved to the largest and most famous stage concerts in Poland - Spodek Hall and actually became one of the biggest blues festivals in Central Europe. In recent years thousands of fans have enjoyed listening bluesy greatest blues musicians of Poland, the United States and Europe to participate 100% live.
