In the summer of 1999, then-President Bill Clinton (along with the current aspiring presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton) organized a fabulous evening at the White House.
The President and Mrs. Clinton welcomed the bluesy Della Reese, the legendary artist, BB King, the blues prodigy Jonny Lang, the successful blues duo John Cephas & Phil Wiggins, and the piano in the great Marcia Ball " Legends of the Blues: In Performance at the White House ".This was the second concert at the White House that WETA, in association with NHK, Japan Broadcasting Corporation, produced in High Definition Television (HDTV).
