First documentary about legendary soul singer Otis Redding, following him since childhood and marriage to recording studios Stax Records of Memphis' and clubs segregated South where he perfected amazing and unique voice. Through home movies unseen, the film reveals how the 1967 tour of Britain Otis radically changed his life and music. After bringing the soul to Europe returned to conquer America, first with the 'love-crowd' at the Monterey Pop Festival and then with 'Dock of the Bay ", which topped the album charts only after his death, with only 26 years.
It includes rare performances not seen before, intimate interviews with the wife and daughter of Otis, and with the original band members Steve Cropper and Booker T Jones. British fans, whose lives were changed by him, including Rod Stewart, Tom Jones and Bryan Ferry are also available.
