hannibal833
Just Tacos: 100 Delicious Recipes for Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner by Shelton Wiseman At first glance the size and style of this book looks like many other "theme" cookbooks out there that try to pick up on a trend and fill it with basic junk recipes. DO NOT LET LOOKS FOOL YOU! This cookbook should be a glamorous giant hardcover book the publisher would charge $35-40 for, the research, recipes, and photos are just wonderful!.. but I am very glad it was produced small, compact, and less expensive. I have an extensive 80+ cookbook collection, and I know this wont even end up filed on my bookcase. I will use it too much to put it away! I almost wonder if the simpler production is a reflection of the economy/recession... if so, kudos! Making a quality product more affordable is a great call, and will allow more people to purchase and enjoy it. Definitely try the tacos with nopales... nopales are very good.I look forward to trying the fried avocado taco, it sounds yummy with both the steak or shrimp suggested. Not everything is so "unusual".. there are recipes for many different tastes, and as said by the other reviewer, these are not difficult recipes. With fresh masa tortillas even the most simple cheese quesadilla is fantastic.I will also try some of the recipes but as salads or lettuce wraps instead of tacos, and some combinations would be good alongside mashed potatoes for a hearty winter dish.
