Valkyrie Profile 2: Silmeria se desvela como una ‘precuela’ del juego de PlayStation (con, como hemos dicho, remake en PSP), situada en un pasado distante, en torno a un centenar de años antes de los hechos del primer juego, y nos va a presentar a dos importantes personajes, que tomarán el papel protagonista: Silmeria y Alicia. Sin embargo, Silmeria, que es una de las tres valquirias que tiene como misión buscar las almas de los fallecidos más valientes y llevarlos al Valhalla, habita en el cuerpo de Alicia, pues cuando desobedeció al dios Odín, éste la castigó privándola de sus poderes y haciendo que se reencarnase en un cuerpo mortal.
