Sinopsis
Andy Brewster (Seth Rogen, Lío embarazoso) es un inventor que vive en Los Ángeles y que acaba de crear un limpiador respetuoso con el medio ambiente que, está seguro, causará sensación entre los compradores. El problema es que aún no ha encontrado a ninguno que esté interesado en su artilugio. Así las cosas, Andy decide desplazarse a diferentes lugares del país para promover su invento y no irá solo, porque le propone a su madre (Barbra Streisand, El príncipe de las mareas) que lo acompañe. Ésta acaba de enviudar y se encuentra bastante deprimida desde que perdió a su esposo, así que Andy tiene la idea de pasar por San Francisco donde vive uno de sus ex. Un viaje de negocios que, además de servir para difundir el producto, servirá para estrechar los lazos entre madre e hijo.
