En este thriller de aventuras producido por Eric Kripke (Sobrenatural, Destino Oculto) y J.J.Abrams (Perdidos, Person of Interest), una familia deberá luchar para reunirse de nuevo en un mundo post apocalíptico, un mundo lleno de ciudades vacías, milicias locales y defensores de la libertad donde todo aparato tecnológico –ordenadores, aviones, coches- se ha apagado misteriosamente. Nuestro modo de vida depende en gran medida de la electricidad por lo que cuando inexplicablemente se produzca un apagón generalizado, el mundo volverá a vivir en la oscuridad.

 

Quince años después del apagón, la rebelde Charlie Matheson (Tracy Spiridakos - Casi Humanos, Psych) vive apaciblemente con su hermano y su padre Ben (Tim Guinee –Iron Man, 24) en una pequeña comunidad agrícola. Sin embargo, su vida cambiará dramáticamente cuando la milicia aparezca en su campamento y mate a su padre, que aparentemente tuvo algo que ver con el apagón.
