Algo para culturizarse sobre Saussure: Ferdinand de Saussure (Ginebra, Suiza, 26 de noviembre de 1857 – ibídem, 22 de febrero del 1913), fue un lingüista suizo, cuyas ideas sirvieron para el inicio y posterior desarrollo del estudio de la lingüística moderna en el siglo XX. Se le conoce como el padre de la lingüística del siglo XX y también inició la Escuela de Ginebra, un grupo de lingüístas que continuó su labor.
