Pero todo cambia con la llegada de una astuta gata ladrona, que lleva a cabo un misterioso plan. Sin embargo, es mucho más peligrosa la aparición en escena de Bane, un terrorista enmascarado cuyos despiadados planes para la ciudad hacen que Bruce regrese de su autoimpuesto exilio. Pero a pesar de volver a ponerse el traje, es posible que Batman no sea suficiente para combatir a Bane.
