Sinopsis

Evelyn Mercer (Fionnula Flanagan) es una respetable anciana de Detroit que intenta llevar por el buen camino a los jóvenes problemáticos del barrio. Durante el atraco de una tienda, Evelyn muere a manos de los asaltantes, causando gran conmoción en el vecindario. Jeremiah (Andre Benjamin), Jack (Garrett Hedlund), Angel (Tyrese Gibson) y Bobby (Mark Wahlberg), sus cuatro hijos adoptivos, volverán a reunirse en Detroit para enterrar a su madre y, de paso, vengar su muerte.
