Fringe es una serie de televisión de ciencia ficción co-creada por J. J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman y Roberto Orci. Junto con la nueva serie de Joss Whedon, Dollhouse, Fringe es parte de una nueva iniciativa de la cadena FOX conocida como "Remote-Free TV". Los episodios de Fringe serán más largos que los de las series de drama normales. Se emitirá con la mitad de anuncios y promos, añadiendo cerca de seis minutos de duración por capitulo.

 

La serie trata de un científico investigador llamado Walter Bishop (descrito como un "Frankenstein mezclado con Albert Einstein" y que esta representado por John Noble), su hijo Peter Bishop (Joshua Jackson), y una agente del FBI, Olivia Dunham (Anna Torv) quien los vuelve a reunir después de 17 años separados. La serie es descrita como un cruce entre The X-Files, Altered States, Dimensión desconocida y Dark Angel.

SIPNOSIS

 

Fringe sigue los pasos de la agente especial del FBI Olivia Dunham, el científico Walter Bishop y su hijo Peter, mientras ellos investigan casos que tratan sobre la Ciencia Fringe. Alrededor del mundo, una serie de aparentes experimentos llamados colectivamente como "El patrón" están ocurriendo por causas desconocidas. Olivia, Peter, y Walter están a cargo de investigar estos extraños sucesos para determinar su origen. Conectado a "El patrón" está una compañía llamada Massive Dynamic, la cual es una empresa líder mundial de investigación que ostenta las patentes de un gran número de nuevas e importantes tecnologías.
