SINOPSIS

 

Por tercera vez en tres semanas, Jake ha huido de la escuela y ha subido a una torre de teléfonos, exactamente a las 3:18. Su padre, Martin (Sutherland) va a por él pero sus problemas acaban de empezar: una asistenta social, Clea Hopkins (Gugu Mbatha-Raw) ha sido enviada para investigar si Martin es capaz de hacerse cargo de su hijo Jake, autista, pero con una misteriosa capacidad para las matemáticas que le llevará a hacer conexiones entre numerosas personas aparentemente no relacionadas. Episodio piloto de la serie Touch, creada por Tim Kring (Heroes) para el canal FOX, y dirigido por Francis Lawrence (Constantine, Soy leyenda, Agua para elefantes). Debido a la importancia de su realizador, se ha decidido separarlo en una ficha independiente como se hizo previamente con los pilotos de Twin Peaks (David Lynch), Boardwalk Empire (Martin Scorsese) o The Walking Dead (Frank Darabont). Funciona como presentación de los personajes principales de la serie y se preestrenó en Estados Unidos el domingo 25 de enero de 2012, tras American Idol, convirtiéndose en una de las emisiones más seguidas de la noche, superando los 12 millones de espectadores. La serie completa se estrenará de forma regular casi dos meses después, el 19 de marzo de 2012 y se prevé que su primera temporada tenga 13 episodios. La crítica arropó el piloto con buenas críticas en general destacando su capacidad emocional y el buen papel de Kiefer Sutherland, que regresa a la televisión tras el final de la serie también de la FOX 24.
