Castle es una serie estrenada por la cadena estadounidense ABC en Marzo de 2009. Tiene como protagonista a Richard Castle, un famoso escritor de best-sellers que ha perdido la inspiración tras matar al protagonista de sus novelas policíacas. Tras surgir un presunto asesino en serie que imita los casos narrados en sus libros, comienza a colaborar con la inspectora de policía Kate Beckett, en la que ha encontrado una fuente de inspiración.

 

Tras obtener buenos resultados de audiencia, ABC renovó la serie por una segunda temporada completa, que se emite actualmente en EEUU desde el lunes 21 de Septiembre. El estreno de la misma se saldó con más de 9 millones de espectadores, dato similar a los que vino marcando en su primera temporada. En España, las cadenas Cuatro y AXN poseen los derechos de la serie. AXN ha estado emitiendo la primera temporada a lo largo del verano, mientras que Cuatro no tiene fijada aún una fecha de estreno, aunque en una entrevista a los programadores de la cadena, éstos afirmaron que era una de las próximas series por las que iban a apostar.
