La odisea de dos amigos que dedican su tiempo a construir lanzallamas y otras armas con la esperanza de que se produzca un apocalipsis global que despeje el camino de su banda imaginaria, Mother Medusa, para asumir el dominio de la humanidad. Mientras aguardan el comienzo de la destrucción, uno de ellos conoce a una joven carismática de la que se enamora rápidamente.
