Según el guionista Marv Wolfman -conocido por su trabajo en DC Comics- la historieta va a estar centrada en los eventos ocurridos entre los 2 primeros juegos, con flashbacks a cuando Kratos era un niño espartano. Se espera que la serie de capítulos termine con la llegada de God of War III.
