Durante la infancia y la adolescencia, Mitch (Ryan Reynolds) y Dave (Jason Bateman) eran amigos inseparables, pero con el paso de los años se han distanciado. Dave, en cambio, envidia a Mitch: vivir sin estrés ni presión, sin obligaciones es un auténtico sueño.
