Cuando un submarino de investigación emerge bruscamente en el refugio del criminal, la esposa de éste ve interrumpido su sueño criogénico y corre el riesgo de perecer, por lo cual Freeze regresa a Gotham y secuestra a un científico experto en criogénesis, con el fin de lograr salvar a su amada.
