huaynacapac
..:..Season 1..:.. ..:..Info..:.. There are Cylon infiltrators that resemble humans in the Fleet. These infiltrators may or may not know their true Cylon natures, such as Sharon Valerii. Laura Roslin is treating her cancer using Chamalla extract, the result of which are hallucinations that seem to fit with the writings of the oracle Pythia. The issues surrounding the death of Zak Adama still remain a point of contention between Lee Adama and his father, William Adama. Kara Thrace reveals to them the truth, which opened some reconciliation for the Adamas. Gaius Baltar has been commissioned to create a Cylon detector. While early attempts at this were a ruse, he later perfects the device, only to hide its results for fear of discovery of his part in the Fall of the Twelve Colonies. Galactica must tackle issues dealing with basic ship and human requirements, including but not limited to water (Water) and ship fuel tylium (The Hand of God). The Colonials' religious beliefs are polytheistic, whereas the Cylons religious beliefs are monotheistic in nature, with their beliefs appearing to indicate that the Cylons were fated to destroy mankind. Lt. Sharon Valerii (Boomer) begins questioning her existence and whether or not she may be a Cylon. Helo, still surviving on Cylon-occupied Caprica, is involved in a mysterious plan with other humanoid Cylons, using a copy of Sharon Valerii. The Cylons appear to know the Pythian Scriptures better than the Colonials, and are manipulating or anticipating events based on the writings. The entire fleet and its leaders are shaken and tested by each other and the Cylons as they stumble unto the home of humanity, Kobol, and attempt to discover the secrets of the thirteenth Colony, Earth. Colonel Tigh commands the Fleet while Adama is incapacitated, instituting martial law. After the "Gideon massacre", the Fleet divides into two factions: one which supports Adama, and one which supports Roslin and Zarek. Kara Thrace and Karl Agathon discover a Colonial resistance movement on Caprica. The Cylons have been rounding up human females in order to artificially inseminate them with hybrid ovum, creating breeding farms over Caprica. Their attempts have been unsuccessful. An expedition to Kobol finds instructions that may lead the Fleet to Earth inside the Tomb of Athena. Starbuck and Helo return to the Galactica from Caprica; Helo becomes ostracized due to his relationship with Sharon Valerii, who is pregnant with the first successful Human-Cylon hybrid child. Galactica's copy of Sharon Valerii is killed by Cally Henderson. Roslin and the Quorum of Twelve are re-instituted. Three additional Humanoid Cylons are revealed: Simon, D'anna Biers, and Cavil. Chief Galen Tyrol and his team build a prototype stealth fighter craft, the Blackbird. The Fleet encounters another battlestar that survived the attack, the Pegasus, which is commanded by Admiral Helena Cain. William Adama becomes an admiral and Pegasus joins the Fleet. The Colonials find a large Cylon fleet guarding a massive Resurrection Ship, which is responsible for boosting the consciousness-transmission range of Humanoid Cylons when their bodies are destroyed. Galactica and Pegasus engage in a massive battle with the Cylons and destroy the Resurrection Ship. This is a major blow to the Cylons and alters their entire strategy towards destroying the Rag Tag Fleet. As RDM stated in an interview with the Chicago Tribune on January 4th, 2006, "The destruction of the Resurrection Ship impacts the way the Cylons deal with Galactica and the Colonial fleet the rest of the season. It alters their tactics. They stop trying to make full-blown, all-out assaults on the Fleet, they retreat and go into a hit-and-run mode while they figure out a way to replicate the ship." Pegasus goes through three commanders in a row, one shot by a Cylon, one killed by black marketers and another during battle with three Cylon basestars in a trap. Lee Adama is promoted to Commander and given command of Pegasus. Various resistance movements arise in the Fleet, including one led by a Cylon (Gina). Baltar gives Gina a stripped down nuclear bomb. Hera, the daughter of the Caprica Sharon and Helo, is born prematurely and hidden with a foster mother in the fleet. Starbuck leads a rescue mission to Caprica to rescue survivors. A marginally habitable planet is discovered in a nebula, providing Baltar with a campaign issue in his run for President. Gina, on Cloud Nine, explodes the nuclear device given to her by Baltar. The nuclear blast destroys several ships and kills thousands of people. The Colonial election is completed, with Baltar being named the new President of the Colonies. The planet, New Caprica, is colonized while the remaining ships comprise the defense fleet for New Caprica. The Cylons locate New Caprica a year later, having detected the radiation from the nuclear warhead detonated on Cloud Nine. They invade the planet and Baltar has no choice but to surrender, while the remnants of the Fleet leaves orbit. The relationship between Helo and Sharon continues. Helo is Galactica's XO at the beginning of Season 3 ("Occupation", "Precipice"). Dualla is indeed married to Lee Adama after the "one year later" leap forward in time (Occupation). The humans on New Caprica are freed from the Cylons, but the price is high. Pegasus is destroyed, Saul Tigh loses an eye and forced to kill his wife, Hera falls into the hand of the Cylons. Baltar joins the Cylons. Roughly 2000 people die ("Occupation" trough "Exodus, Part II"). The presidential succession: Zarek was indeed Baltar's Vice-President, but the relationship soured rather quickly with Zarek refusing to cooperate completely after the occupation (Exodus, Part I). He initially becomes President, but realizes he would not be allowed, due to his past, to remain in office. He creates a secret tribunal, albeit legal according to military law, to try and sentence collaborators, in order to rid the Fleet of the worst of the collaborators, while still keeping President Roslin's term free of any scandal. Roslin returns to the presidency, but makes Zarek her Vice President (Collaborators). There is a large storyline told exclusively from the Cylons' (and Baltar's) point of view ("Collaborators" through "Rapture"). Not all of the Cylons may believe that Baltar is the Hand of God, "Guardian of the New Order", etc., and he himself begins to question whether he is a Cylon ("Torn", "The Passage"). A two-part story has Galactica discover a dying Cylon baseship, and deals with a plague that has befallen the Cylons. The Colonials contemplate using the plague to exterminate the Cylons. ("Torn" and "A Measure of Salvation"). "Unfinished Business" reveals some of the events that transpired during the year-long time gap in "Lay Down Your Burdens, Part II". One of the flashbacks shows what happened between Apollo and Starbuck that caused a rift between them, and involves a boxing match between them. The Fleet comes close to starvation and Louanne Katraine dies when leading a civilian ship to a food source (The Passage). The mid-season cliffhanger story, spanning episodes , centers on "discovering the next big clue on the road to Earth ("The Eye of Jupiter" and "Rapture"). Number Three is permanently resigned by the Cylons themselves. Her entire line is boxed. Even the thought of execution is so repulsive to the Cylons that reaching this point is an extraordinary event for them. Hera is retrieved by Sharon Agathon. Caprica-Six is captured by the humans. Kara Thrace apparently dies in "Maelstrom". Baltar is captured by the Colonials (The Eye of Jupiter), tortured for information about the Cylons (Taking a Break From All Your Worries) and put on trial for his actions on New Caprica (Crossroads, Part I). Lee Adama's testimony in defense of Baltar turns the trial in favor of Baltar who is found not guilty. President Roslin's cancer returns. Samuel Anders, Tory Foster, Saul Tigh, and Galen Tyrol discover that they are Cylons, though are unaware as to why (or even that they are members of the Final Five). Kara Thrace returns under very mysterious circumstances. Moore indicates that this season begins the "third act in the three-act structure where we're all moving towards the finale and the climax of all these different plot lines. In my head there's two chapters to go in the story and those can be of varying lengths." [6] On Friday, June 1st 2007 the SciFi Channel issued a statement saying that Season 4 is going to be the final season. Ending the series with the upcoming 22-episode fourth season was a creative decision made by the show's executive producers Ronald D. Moore and David Eick. SciFi executive VP of original programming Mark Stern said the channel's brass "respect the producers' decision to end the series." [7] Production of Season 4 was preempted by the 2007-2008 Writers Strike, which forced production to shut down after production of the episode "Sometimes a Great Notion". Production resumed on Season 4 following the conclusion of the strike, but as a result, just as with Season 2, the season was split into two widely-space halves (effectively making Season 4 two separate seasons, with the second half becoming known as Season 4.5). The first half of Season 4 began airing in the spring of 2008; the second half began in January 2009 [8]. The final episode of the series will air in March 2009. A series of 10 webisodes, written by Jane Espenson and Seamus Kevin Fahey and entitled "The Face of the Enemy", were webcast prior to the broadcast of the Season 4.5 premiere episode.[8]. Moore made his directorial debut in the second half of this season with episode 12, "A Disquiet Follows My Soul".[9] The final number of survivors that make it to the new Earth, around 38,000, is stated by Bill Adama during the second hour of Daybreak, Part II.
