Gosick se lleva a cabo en 1924 en un pequeño país europeo llamado Sauville. La historia se centra en Kazuya Kujo, el tercer hijo de un soldado imperial japonés, quien es un estudiante de intercambio que llega a St. Marguerite Academy, donde las leyendas urbanas e historias de terror están de moda. Allí conoce a Victorique, una misteriosa, hermosa y brillante joven que nunca asiste a las clases y pasa sus días leyendo todo el contenido de la biblioteca o la resolución de misterios que incluso los detectives no pueden resolver. La serie se centra principalmente en Kazuya y Victorique que se involucran en diferentes casos de misterio y su lucha para resolverlos, mientras al mismo tiempo forman lazos importantes con diferentes personas.
