Desperate Housewives (Esposas desesperadas, Mujeres desesperadas, o Amas de casa desesperadas, dependiendo de la distinta traduccion hecha en diferentes paises de habla hispana) es una serie estadounidense de television de comedia y drama creada por Marc Cherry , producida por los estudios de ABC y Cherry Productions. La serie es emitida originalmente desde el 2004.

 

La serie se desarrolla en Wisteria Lane, zona residencial situada en la imaginaria ciudad de Fairview, Eagle State. Trata de las vidas de seis amas de casa, a traves de sus vidas domesticas a la vez que se revelan varios misterios acerca de sus maridos, amigos y vecinos. El tono y estilo de la serie combina elementos de drama, comedia, misterio, culebron y satira. Los personajes han sido criticados por grupos religiosos por carencia moral.

 

La serie tuvo 15 nominaciones en los Premios Emmy de 2005, ganando 6. En 2006 obtuvo una nominacion como mejor actriz de reparto.

 

En esta temporada esta' confirmada la vuelta de Mark Moses como Paul Young. Ademas se tiene confirmada la participacion de Vanessa Williams (Wilhelmina Slater en la serie Ugly Betty), quien segun declaracion de Marc Cherry se encargara' de darles problemas a las Desesperadas.
