El DVD refleja la vuelta triunfal de AC/DC a Buenos Aires después de 13 años de ausencia, llenando el estadio del River Plate durante tres noches consecutivas con 200.000 personas que agotaron todas las entradas. AC/DC Live At River Plate captura la intensidad y la energía de la gira de AC/DC en la que presentaba su último álbum Black Ice. Fue una gira mundial de 20 meses a través de 108 ciudades de 28 países y a la que asitieron más de cinco millones de personas. El Black Ice World Tour ganó el premio Pollstar a la mejor gira en 2010.
