Sinopsis: Un joven empleado de bienes raíces llamado Hutter, que viaja desde Bremen hasta Checoslovaquia hasta el castillo del misterioso conde Orlock, quien compra unas propiedades en la ciudad natal de Hutter con intenciones bastante siniestras. En realidad, el conde es un vampiro que trae consigo la muerte y la peste a la ciudad, devorando a sus indefensas víctimas y poniendo su ojo en la joven y bella esposa de Hutter, Helen.
